CAPE TOWN – Western Cape Education MEC Debbie Schafer has urged matriculants to be cautious as thousands head to annual matric rage festivals in the province this week.
The 2017 matric final exams officially ends on Tuesday.
At least 126 candidates will write Agricultural Management Practices, while 924 candidates will sit down to a three-hour design paper this afternoon.
“Matric candidates have worked very hard to get to this point. While they deserve to celebrate, we appeal to them to do so responsibly. We appeal to all candidates not to spoil what should be a well-earned celebration.”
More than 60,000 candidates are registered in the province for this year’s national senior certificate.
