Traumatised Hout Bay residents have been virtually cut off from the rest of Cape Town for a third day as rioting protesters block roads, overturn cars, intimidate people and loot shops.  Imizamo Yethu residents, who have been provided with structures on a sports field after a devastating fire in March, are demanding services while their return to their homes is being delayed. Cape Town councillor JP Smith says the situation is no longer a community protest and has descended into criminality…

 

Demonstrations have entered a third day, causing disarray in Hout Bay.
