It’s understood three hit their mark.

Stanfield was shot while driving in his Audi R8 sports car through the wealthy suburb of Melrose on Thursday.

He was wearing a bulletproof vest at the time of the incident.

Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo says that they still have no leads in the investigation.

Stanfield survived the attempt on his life but is still in a critical condition in hospital.

The attack is thought to be linked to an ongoing underworld turf war that is raging in Cape Town.
