CAPE TOWN – At least two people have gone missing along the coast of the Western Cape this weekend.
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) were alerted to a Gansbaai man who landed in trouble on Saturday.
The NSRI’s Craig Lambinon said: “He had reported to his friends that his motor had broken down.”
That evening, near Vredenburg a small fishing boat capsized with three people onboard.
Two of the fishermen managed to reach the shore and raised the alarm.
Lambinon says that so far, authorities have only managed to recover the man’s headlamp.
